Donation-based Design

Having worked with Graphic and Software design as part of my day job for over a decade, as well as for friends, family and my church, it struck me one evening that it was becoming something of a passion, which I wanted to expand and share.

The initial idea was to take my enthusiasm and gain some experience by offering a "Free Design Service". Even though I'm now full time with Ascent, this vision is still very much at the heart of Ascent. I can't afford to take on much work entirely for free (although I do have some availability), but my aim is to be an affordable resource to your organisation - providing a high quality of service at a cost that fits your budget.

If you're not a large group, or your budget is tight, I'm more than happy to negotiate a price rather than slapping a fixed fee or rate on the project. Let me know what you're looking for, and how much you can afford, and I'm sure I'll be able to help.

All that I would ask is that, as a Christian organisation, (or just decent folk) you would consider (prayerfully, if appropriate) the, hopefully, professional service I've provided. If you have a low, or tight, budget and the material costs of the projct really are all you can afford, then it may be appropriate that the design time is Ascent's gift to you. If, however, you do feel able to contribute, any amount would be gratefully received. As a design house, there is always new equipment and software which will enable us to grow and work better for you.

However, large projects, such as complex websites and integrated marketing materials are likely to take a considerable amount of time, and we probably wouldn't be able to undertake these completely free of charge. If you need something like this, please do still contact us - we're more than happy to agree a rate or donation amount which reflects the effort we would put in, while not becoming an undue drain on your budget.
