RESOUND Worship

The Jubilate Group

Worship song website with streaming audio, user registration, eCommerce / PayPal integration and event bookings

Project Gallery

RESOUNDworship are a group of worship songwriters, based in the UK, who undertake a peer-review process on all the songs they release.

This website development project required a complete rebuild of their existing site to incorporate a number of new features, as well as preserving the core functionality from the original version.

I developed a version of the site in 2012, and in late 2015 undertook a second rebuild to freshen the design and make the site completely mobile-friendly.

Key Project Features:

Responsive Layout

This new version of the site has been designed from the ground up to be flexible and compatible with all sizes of screen. Larger buttons and icons make the site easier to use on touch screen devices.

HTML5 Audio Player

To allow all users - whether on Mobile or Desktop devices - to listen to the songs, a custom-skinned HTML5 Audio Player was constructed. This also includes playback-scrubbing and navigation features

Purchaseable Content

While some resources are available free-of-charge, most are sold through the site. This required the use of a custom shopping cart, integrated with PayPal, along with:

  • Ability to bundle resources together for a lower price
  • Voucher codes to activate offers
  • EU/VATMOSS Compliance

Newsletter Emails

The site currently has over 18,000 subscribers and a cost-effective solution was required to allow the site adminstrators to send New Song updates, along with other news items.

Email delivery and reporting was provided using the Mandrill Platform.

Event Bookings

The group frequently run songwriting workshops and retreats. The site allows for a comprehensive ticket-booking system which includes:

  • Multiple ticket types per event
  • Multi-buy offers on tickets
  • Configurable questions per-event and ticket to capture the relevant information about delegates

User Activity Reporting

To help with decisions about song promotions, the site produces reports giving the administrators details of the resources which users have accessed over both the last 24 hours and the last 7 days.
