Accord was formed in 2009 to explore bringing together contemporary and traditional sacred music in the concert performance. As the sleeve notes for this CD say, "it’s not often that you hear Graham Kendrick and Rachmaninov side by side (let alone setting the same words) but the contrast in styles illuminates each writer's understanding of the text and can communicate something different and equally true to us as listeners".

Ascent produced the CD artwork for this collection of songs, arranged by the Group's memebers, liasing with the CD duplication firm to ensure that the print run went smoothly.
