The aim of Ascent creative is to provide professional quality marketing products to Churches and other Christian organisations for as low a cost as possible.

To that end, here's the deal....

I don't send invoices for my time. I do the design work essentially for free. What's in it for me? At the moment, the love of doing it! I've been doing ad-hoc graphic design as part of my day job for a few years now, and figured I would try to do something useful and helpful with that.

Printed Items - Flyers, Brochures, Business Cards, etc

For printed items, I would pass on to you the cost of printing and delivery (the same amount that I get charged - no commission or handling charges are added). As an example, 100 postcards (Glossy front, black and white reverse) costs about £7 with 14 day delivery from when you approve the designs. That's it. Bottom line price. Other quantities, products and delivery speeds are available - drop me a line if you'd like more information.

However, all I would ask is that, as a Christian organisation, you would prayerfully consider making a contribution to Ascent. Call it a Tip, a Gift, a Donation, or whatever. While you are under absolutely no obligation to do so, it would be a great help to me if you were able to offer something in return.

Just to clarify - The amount you give is up to you. If you are a group or event organiser with very low (or tight) budget, and the materials themselves cost as much as you can afford, then the design work is my gift to you. I might ask that you allow me to include the Ascent Creative logo somewhere on the finished item, but that would be all.

However, if money is less of an issue, please seriously consider this. I'm not out to turn a major profit on this project, but there is always new and better software to be bought, and other assests that would help me work better at this. If you are able to contribute, any amount would be gratefully received.

Websites

I can design and build Websites, but these would be done on a slightly different basis, although with the same ideals. Printed items are one thing, but the amount of energy that can be spent on a website is much higher. As with the print-design work, I have no fixed fee for web design projects - for this type of work, I'll liase with you over the features you would be needing, and then give you an idea of how long that make take to build. As a result of that, I would leave it up to you to make an offer which you consider a reasonable reflection of both your budget and my investment.

That's not to say that you must offer something in return for a website. A simple brochure style site with a contact page doesn't take too much work. However, if you're looking for a fully database-driven site where you can log in to manage your own content, I'll need to be realistic as to whether I can take that amount of work on.

I would invoice you for the monthly hosting fees, and the cost of registering the domain names. Administration, updates and day to day maintenance would not be charged for at a fixed rate, but I'd let you know how much time I'm spending on it, and it would be up to you to decide if you could contribute in return.

In closing...

Overall, my aim is to help you get the site or publicty materials that you need. I have a day job, so I'm not in this for the money, but I feel that I have skills that I would like to offer to the Church as a resource.

Thanks for taking the time to look at the site. I look forward to hearing from you.
